Coverage highlights that Anthropic devoted far more of the prospectus to risk factors (80 pages) than to its business (48 pages), an unusually stark disclosure for an IPO filing.
“So they should all be jailed for recognizing what they are creating has the ability to destroy human kind and instead of pulling the plug they're asking for more money to make it happen faster?”

Nearly 80 pages of the company’s 261-page initial public offering prospectus is dedicated to potential risk factors, while only 48 pages outline its business.

So they should all be jailed for recognizing what they are creating has the ability to destroy human kind and instead of pulling the plug they're asking for more money to make it happen faster? Explain to me how this works when jt requires massove infrastructure that can barely keep up to current needs. Why don't we pull the NVIDIA cards out of…

>It's been well documented that Anthropic's revenue growth in 2026 has been enormous. Has it? Don't they just self-leak/press release 'ARR' revenue claims? Has there been any audited and formal filings? Including all the off-balance sheet and other creative stuff

As a stark reminder of how much times have changed: In 2009, Hulu ran a Super Bowl ad featuring Alec Baldwin, explaining that their business model is an evil plan to destroy all humans, and everyone immediately got that it was a joke.

And even ChatGPT does not make a profit. How is anyone looking at these companies that lose billions every year and go "Yeah this is worth 2+ trillion dollars" wtf. Even longer term investments like their hardware/infra is more temporary than many understand. Most PC hardware is outdated only after half a decade or so. Depending on the speed of…

Seriously, this is all very funny but it's also Anthropic violating its IPO in violation of Section 5 of the Securities Act of 1933 https://www. reuters.com/business/finance/a nthropic-warns-ai-may-pose-existential-risks-humanity-ipo-filing-2026-09-29/

Gaap net loss almost 42B on less than 5B of revenue, I cant even imagine. Where does all the money go? If the name attached to this was anything other than Anthropic these would be some seriously horrible financials, and that's before getting into all the colorful accounting they're using.

There are a lot more moat than just pure intelligence itself. Try selling Chinese model to american enterprises from a policy standpoint. And thats even before we start talking about the integration eco system anthropic has better than even chatgpt and where they have strategically made their bets. In an IPO prospectus, Anthropic has warned investors that its tech may pose “existential risks to humanity.” Almost 1/3rd of its lengthy S1 filing refers to “risk factors” including the potential of increasingly advanced AI models to manipulate, blackmail & exhibit other unpredictable behaviors.

How can I get in on this "net loss: -$42B without going to jail" club... I'll pay you back, say, a quarter mil a year, eh? there IS an amount of debt where you're just stealing from society... which is funny, b/c their business model is ALSO stealing from society... pretending copyright doesn't exist and all... and how the fuck do you lose that…

this is a cult. if you invest in Anthropic, you're buying shares in a religious cult. https://www. reuters.com/legal/transactiona l/anthropic-leaders-control-ai-lab-via-founder-llc-promote-public-good-over-market-2026-09-29/

That was my question too. 2025 is really old in AI-company time. But I'm suspecting the "leak" was on purpose so they can now come and show how much better (but still not great) the first half of 2026 was.

Doing it daily my friend. When I starter using it, it was just about chat gpt, then Microsoft created it's now failed wrapped around chat gpt, then antropic, Gemini, grok, Chinese models, llama, etc. See the point? It's getting more and more crowded every day, and Anthropic is the most expensive of the bunch. And when the CFO of a fortune 500…

Simon you're really going to need to float the numbers for us if you're going to make claims about enormous revenue. And don't forget to include things like cost of revenue as well !

Regulations prevent market entry all the time. Even something as simple as "new models require evaluation paid for by the company at a cost of [shitload of money" would sound reasonable but also cost new companies a potentially prohibitive amount of money. Established companies don't want to pay it either but they consider it the cost of limiting…

From Tristan Buckminster. "Rather the important thing is instead the significance that a mathematician and an LLM model can now do all this work in a month. The significance of this with respect to the way we train students, assign credit, referee, and decide what is worth one human life’s attention cannot be under- stated. This is a a Deep…

I'm convinced the reason popular apps are objectively worse than they used to be is not the AI produces slop code (anymore, definitely used to). But that it produces so much code so fast, the what "crap code" would have been caught by a Senior or Tech Lead, is now just freely going into prod because nobody can review the amount getting crapped out…

What models do agentic harnesses use? What good is CC efficiency if the reasoning from Opus is beaten by Sol? Opus 5.5 which just came out is currently the best, but Astra (oai) was best before that, and 5.6 Sol (oai) before that, and Fable (Anthropic) before that. Till they stop flipping back and forth because one company cannot afford to spend…
