If all it takes is a few locals stealing fuel to scare off the seppos then their nuclear subs aren't going to last long around Rockingham in WA 😂 U.S. Rushes to Withdraw Bombers From U.K. Air Base After New Threats - The New York Times https://www. nytimes.com/2026/10/04/us/poli tics/us-bombers-britain-raf-fairford-iran.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share

Yes, they are currently meeting their commitment by extending their normal 99 day deployments to 205 days as fleet readiness sags. These extended deployments have strained submariner training and retention so badly that the MoD decided not to upgrade and refuel the remaining 3 Tridents to prevent the deployments from getting longer. That, to me…

"The bombers were redeployed back to their home bases in the US, according to a Pentagon official who was not authorised to discuss sensitive military movements and spoke on Sunday on condition of anonymity." @theguardian.com

“While operational security precluded us from confirming the movement of our assets and forces in real time, we can acknowledge now that all US bombers that were deployed to RAF Fairford have redeployed to their home stations in the United States." What the fuck are you on? Just trying to dunk on the British? Supporting Argentina through hypocrisy? Go right ahead, I have no skin in the game. Its just annoying to have a discussion in bad faith based on bad history. Again, if you dislike imperialism I dont see how supporting Argentina will help. The Falklands question is imperialist team…

This is actually my fav theory. These vans full of empty barrels were a dummy package. They wanted to call cause disruption on the base, and achieved it. It may even be why one of them phoned it in. I like the theory because it means there is no mystery. We already know all the key facts.

Cowards all around. Republicans are too afraid their base will turn against them for doing the right thing. Democrats are too afraid they’ll lose swing voters. Instead, they collectively allow Trump to dismantle their democracy piece by piece. Pathetic.
-
But they’re the greatest country on earth, single-handedly won the Second World War they couldn’t be bothered to get involved in, and we’re so proud to have them use us as a staging ground. Duh. You just sound jealous of the amount of freedom they have
-
Only a single barrel contained petrol. The rest were empty. That does not tell us much. If anything, it is more confusing. All these arrests suggest there was something more going on than attempted fuel theft either way.
-
The US does these kinds of missions. The B-2 stealth pretty much only flies out of its home base in the middle of the continent. They have gone on bombing missions to Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan. 40+ hour missions.
-
Even if it does have something to do with it, who cares? There is/was a credible threat to the base so they moved their shit away just in case anything happens. So what? What is news worthy about this?
-
The audacity and arrogance to be wrong about something so badly and yet tell anyone else they have a goldfish memory 😂 Certainly living up to the ever worsening reputation of us Americans
-
Considering those admirals command defenses around cyber, nuclear and base provisions in addition to ships I'm going to need you to take your asinine twitter talking points somewhere else
-
Kind of weird to say the US couldn’t be bothered to be involved in WWII. Shows a complete lack of education. I might as well say the UK couldn’t be bothered to save China from Japan.
-
I dunno - they couldn't even put him in jail when Biden was in office. I have zero confidence that the Democrats will achieve anything in terms of standing up to or limiting Trump.
-
That doesn’t make any sense. You say it’s sarcasm - so you’re mocking the point and you instead believe America was very involved in WW2? I don’t think you know what sarcasm is.
-
Yeah for that I’d agree. Anne Sacoolas ran back to the US under diplomatic immunity BS.
