A Mastodon user responded to the CNBC coverage by comparing Nadella's plea for external controls to a childhood bully who asked God to stop him mid-fight, questioning the sincerity of executives calling for limits on their own technology.
“That story comes to mind when I hear these tech “leaders” asking for someone to stop them.”

A circus clown says to call AI "super intelligence," and the CEO of Microsoft obeys. My. Fucking. God. What a snivelling coward. https:// x.com/satyanadella/status/2108 931348857827686

You don't seem to understand. "Everything is political," when applied indiscriminately and taken to its logical conclusion, is a quintessentially fascist statement and philosophy. It's just -your- brand of fascism as opposed to Trump, etc's.
-
HOLY. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says we should assume frontier AI models are COMPROMISED …
-
S
He lost credibility when he used the term "superintelligence" instead of artificial intelligence. Along with Lake America and Gulf of America, it's a term developed to test tech execs' fealty to Trump.

Satya Nadella says companies should assume AI models are compromised (rogue agents) and build systems that limit their permissions, verify their actions and enable a human to shut them down. Rogue agents are a software security problem, not something we should expect “alignment” alone to solve. https://www. theverge.com/ai-artificial-int…

At 600M, if keeping a spine has a risk of slight reduction in that wealth, then the spine is thrown out in a jiffy. No rich man or woman is a friend of society. That is why governments fear revolt from the poor. They have nothing more to lose.
-
No they’re not. 5 years ago they didn’t have models to complain about and 5 years from now they’ll deny they ever did complain. Source: old man who has seen many hype cycles lose and win.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella wants AI systems treated as potentially compromised, with human-controlled emergency shutdowns. As AI agents gain autonomy, the question is no longer just what they can do, but who can stop them. #AI #AISafety

When I was eight years old, I got into a fight with my best friend. At some point, he brought me down and started punching me. He paused for a second, looked at the sky and asked God to help him stop. That story comes to mind when I hear these tech “leaders” asking for someone to stop them. 🤦♂️ https://www. cnbc.com/2026/10/10/microsoft-…

> Unfortunately, Nadella also refers to AI as “super intelligence” throughout the post. What's the deal with these clowns? Nadella's estimated net worth is like $600M. Is that still not enough for him to buy himself a spine?

This just feels like more of the war on local models. I expect to see a lot more FUD about this as hyperscalers desperately try to push the message that local models are incapable to keep people on the teat.

Should I then assume that Copilot is "compromised", and given that they've shoehorned it into all Microsoft products, then, by extension, that means all Microsoft products are compromised?

100%. All this talk but zero action, feels more like a COA than a warning. Not sure why very little is being done and those building it are also the ones being asked to make it safe. Makes zero sense

Satya Nadella says to assume an AI model could be compromised and contain it from the start. Log every meaningful action in plain language, and always let a person pause or stop it mid-task. Basically an emergency brake.
