A Reform spokesperson told the Telegraph that Farage was talking about guaranteeing US use of the Diego Garcia military base in perpetuity, not ceding the Chagos Islands as a whole, and claimed Farage has long opposed surrendering the islands.
“I give him something. I ask for something back. He'd get that. He'd understand that. He's a businessman. He's a trader.”

Dealing with Trump is totally pointless because every single one of our PM candidates will never need to interact with Trump. The next GE will be in 2029, the next US presidential election is in Nov 28. Trump can't run as president again - any of the perceived lustre of having a mans-man who can buddy up with Trump will be long gone along with him…

Nigel Farage suggesting the UK should "trade" the Chagos Islands to Donald Trump in exchange for him keeping quiet about the Falklands exposes astonishing foreign policy amateurism. Offering up territory to appease foreign leaders subverts sovereignty. Why tolerate grovelling diplomacy? 🤔 # FBPE https://www. thelondoneconomic.com/news/nig…

It’s Farage’s (and presumably also your) belief that America might ‘talk’ about the Falklands and support Argentina in encroaching upon our sovereignty. To prevent that from potentially happening, Farage wants to negotiate the permanent encampment of US forces on British soil. Most people would call that cowardly and treasonous.

Lowe genuinely seems to care about young people and the future of Britain, Farage is just another bomer vote. His speech about student loans and his plan what to do about it, while not ground breaking is something he's obviously spoken to young people about and it's be a major issue for many students and graduates.
