In 2008, Jon Stewart suggested that instead of bailing out the banks, why don’t we pay people’s mortgages. The banks get the payments, but then the people are bailed out, too. The politicians being interviewed on the Daily Show, dems and reps both, laughed him off.

When people work for decades while being taxed for SS/Medicare to ensure they can have some quality of life in their senior years, the called it "entitlements'. If we don't take control of the two chambers this November, they plan to decimate these programs we paid into come early next year. 🤬
