  • The issue is that baseball is very different from other sports because of how much variance there is in it. The regular season stats matter significantly more than the postseason stats in terms of player evaluation. 162 games is a good enough sample for the stats to actually mean something. If you cut it in half, it would just be a meme

  • I think that's part of the reason why the ratings were higher this year. I'll normally watch a few minutes, but turn it off because its garbage football. This year we watched the entire first half because it was competitive well played football for the most part.

  • The only problem with the NFL is potential oversaturation and the games are across way too many TV and streaming platforms. They need to get that under control but other than that, they are in a much better spot compared to every other league in this country.

  • The Chiefs have a borderline must win game week 1 hosting Denver, especially if Mahomes is starting. Contrary to this is the NBA media talking about how the real start of the regular season is Christmas or it doesn't really matter until the trade deadline.

  • I love football, and obviously gambling, stability, fantasy, and high stakes due to game scarcity make it exciting. But I do not see how other sports fans don’t view football as the worst viewing experience of the main 5 pro sports like I do lol.

  • Hell, even if it’s not a good matchup, what else is on Monday/Thursday than a Jets v. Dolphins game?

  • NBA had a bit of a resurgence this playoff though, I wouldn’t really say MLB is overtaking it.

  • Can you blame people for wanting to watch Haynes King and Carson Beck play football?
