“Trump's whole set of rules is that his word isn't good from one week to the next. He doesn't consider himself bound by anything he's said or agreed to previously.”

Not that I'm interested in being "fair" to the Iranian government (they're vicious, repressive, cruel bastards), but... Trump's whole set of rules is that his word isn't good from one week to the next. He doesn't consider himself bound by anything he's said or agreed to previously. Now, I think what's really happening is they're just trying to put…

You know what trump needs to do? In the TV series "24", there was a season in which the sitting president was incompetent to deal with a crisis, so he called in former President David Palmer to handle the situation behind the scenes. trump needs to do likewise, swallow his pride, and bring in Obama, who has successfully dealt with the Iranians…

That's what is great. I don't have to believe it is true or not true. I can just say I don't know because there isn't enough to go on. it allows me to be cautious of the government and skeptical of their actions without deluding myself or taking a side for performative reasons. More people should just say they don't know. Belief is delusion.

My point was voters need to be involved from the start, because once we get to the "blue no matter who" stage, it's already a lost cause. We have neolibs angry that El Sayed won on an actual platform and threatening to vote GOP. Until that crowd is gone, the apathy is going to remain. It's a chicken and egg scenario.
-
I wouldn't hold my breath unless the house is cleaned first. Neolibs are going to want status quo and pursuing justice against almost an entire party is outside of their "traditions and norms" (read: not upsetting their donors) they are desperate to uphold

The millimeter of room I’ll give them is Iran (as a state) does want the US to be harmed in any way they can. The thing is Trump is such a feckless weak man that despite being massively underpowered Iran can basically play him indefinitely.

Legit wish they would come out and say this to a) troll/piss off Dumpy, and b) drive the point home to at least SOME of the voting public (yes I know this is wishful thinking but just lemme have this for a moment).
