  • That's something of a myth. Congressmen purchase their health coverage through the ACA's DC exchange. They DO automatically get to choose from the "Gold" plans and the premiums sre subsidized, but they still pay deductibles, prescriptions, co pays etc. After retirement, they have to have held office for at least 5 years to be eligible to continue…
