The past couple of days I have noticed a presentation layer bug, probably due to getting overwhelmed that causes my session to get all dorked up technical term. Claude itself never goes down and is always waiting for my response. Not sure if it matters but I only use the Sonnet model. I've never had any issues logging in. Perhaps they have anycast…

Update: Claude is working normally for me again. I just tested it again and it’s responding normally on my side. That was pretty quick. Still curious whether the outage was regional, intermittent, or affecting certain accounts/workloads, since some people here are still reporting problems while others are fine.

This is why I'm local first. Local models are getting pretty capable for most tasks. I just worry AI companies are colluding to make hardware more expensive and force everyone on the cloud, but then this stuff will happen and worse.

Same. I am here in California, and I get the same "Authentication service was unavailable." Then I get redirected to a page that shows "Claude is temporarily unavailable."

That’s actually really useful to know. If web, app, and CLI are all working normally for you and your coworkers, while others are still getting failures, I’m leaning more toward an intermittent or regional issue rather than a total outage. What region are you guys in, roughly?

Can confirm. I keep getting an error "Authentication service was unavailable. You can try again." However, logging out and trying to log in I just get the same issue.
