The Verge reported that the Cloudflare-sourced chart circulating online likely reflects Yandex's own crawler and indexing infrastructure rather than the social-media disinformation bots most people associate with Russia.
“Russian bot traffic has fallen following data center attacks, but it's probably not the kind of bot activity most people associate with Russia.”

# Zelensky : "When our strikes reached # Yandex ’s # datacenters , it suddenly became a little easier to breathe on many # socialMedia platforms. A lot of people noticed it. There was less hate, less division, and fewer provocations. Because there were fewer # bots . It’s pretty clear where those bots were" https:// united24media.com/war-in-ukrai…

BREAKING: Ukrainian strikes on Russian technology giant Yandex's data centres have been followed by a dramatic decline in automated online activity, particularly on Reddit, per Euronews

Its a deliberate attack being done by actors such as Elon musk. How you say? They are making the world think bots and AI automation are ok by supplying basic tools to help everybody scrape while they use technology 100x far more advanced to make everybody else's scraping pointless. They are making all Americans fight with each other and then using…

You are seriously overestimating VPNS. You use one to get around a pirate bay block, not someone smart enough to block large unreputable block chains and vpns. There is zero reason you should be allowing traffic to your home devices FROM known VPNS. That's just asking for trouble. A VPN isnt a magical mask and anyone who knows what they are doing…

To be fair we are not talking about the average voter, it's the average voter from the so called undecided group + a very tiny percentile from both regular camps. Not saying no one in that group is intelligent, but nonetheless I would be interested in a cognitive study on them.

O
This would all be super welcome, but each piece of "evidence" presented is completely anecdotal, or worse, just an unsubstantiated third party claim. https://www. euronews.com/2026/10/12/did-uk rainian-strikes-on-yandex-data-centres-cause-russian-bot-activity-to-plummet

Ok but what would you do about? Moderating everything is impractical unless you’re willing to pay for the labor to do it. And people aren’t willing to pay. Everyone knows there’s a problem, but there is also no easy low cost solution either.

Three data centres in a week is a brutal reminder that the cloud is just someone else's building. The 'can't predict when' part makes it worse.
-
Ukraine needs to strike all data centres in Russia. Can you imagine an Internet without Russian bots and trolls? Utopia.
-
Well, most social networks are owned by the US companies so EU can't do that much about it.
