Yeah, tap to pay cards have been completely normal in Europe for quite a while. Here in Finland the grocery store I was working at the time got them in early 2013. I remember paying by tapping while I was buying a t-shirt at an outdoor gig in Stockholm that summer and it felt very futuristic, lol.
