For what it's worth you can make that huge breakfast in like 15 minutes. Eggs, toast, bacon, and pancakes take less than 10 minutes to prepare and you can do them all simultaneously. As for fruit, you just put it out. It looks like more than it is, effort wise. I say this as someone who really doesn't like breakfast much at all but have made shit…

I got news for you man: Its still a place where you can raise a family, live in a big house, drive a big car, and have a great life. Is it as easy as the TV shows say? No. Is it generally a lot more precarious than media portrays it to be? Oh most definitely. Do most people in the U.S. live like that? Yes. They do, in fact. By a large margin.

I had an '88 F-150 (same basic chassis as the '90 Bronco) with some extra play in the gear box. One friend I loaned it to, because someone always needs to borrow a pickup, commented upon returning it that driving it "was like captaining a boat in my own lane", and once he said that I realized it was the most accurate description possible.

We used our backpacks in our big sprawling high school right up until Columbine happened. Then we weren’t allowed to carry our backpacks ever again during the day. Sucked because my first three classes all had big books plus note books and papers and were as far as I could get across the school building.

That people throw up in their toilets and are way too comfortable with letting their face touch the seat and water splashback and all. And then they just rest their arms and face on the seat after finishing 🤢️. Watching this in movies always made me disgusted. I hope this is not a real thing

From the movies we used to guess about the writing on the passenger side mirror and were sure it was something very American like “don’t look back the future is in front of you“ Or something similarly optimistic. Imagine our disappointment 😛

Oof. I remember my mother taking over for my friend's mother on a road trip and tapping the brake. She wasn't used to power brakes and smashed friend's mother's head into the windshield (seat belt wasn't on yet...) Blood everywhere.

I also owned a Corona! Mine was a ‘72. You’re the only person I’ve ever “met” that has even heard of this model. I’m ridiculously pleased to read your comment. My Corona was my first car. Always have a soft spot in my heart for it.

I did a homestay in Japan a few years back and was a proud moment when I was leaving the house before Mrs. Tanaka was up making breakfast and prepping lunch. It was also 3 am… but I finally beat her to the kitchen once!
