Actually, if anyone I know called me after 11 p.m., I would absolutely pick up because it would be so unusual that I would fear an emergency happening. But the problem would be that my ringer would be on silent, so I might not see the missed call until it was too late.

I don't think this movie needs a sequel honestly. The Return of Oak Street, with Anne playing against Anne, would be one of the weirdest sequels ever. I'd be curious to see it.

Yeah, if they just saved the husband (and even some others) it's just a paradox. When you end up with 2 Jeannettes (confirming they are distinct instances), then it's definitely a multiverse thing and the alternate family got screwed.

My understanding is that you had to be inside the portal when it closed to get transported permanently. Like it was the time and space overlapping so inside the bubble was in the 80s but since it was in the air you would just fall through back into prehistoric times.

thats done in a few great shows and movies. let the viewers figure it out with a hint. i think twilight zone and black mirror do things like that, and tales of the crypt does it the most.
