Commenters raised specific criticisms of Trump administration military leadership, with one post identifying Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz as the outcome military assessments had predicted before Hegseth's appointment.
“It's actually very easy to lose because they can close the strait. That's why every military assessment of it up until the spectacularly incompetent Pete Hegseth came in, said that attacking Iran would result in the strait of Hormuz being closed.”

It's actually very easy to lose because they can close the strait. That's why every military assessment of it up until the spectacularly incompetent Pete Hegseth came in, said that attacking Iran would result in the strait of Hormuz being closed. And wouldn't you know that's exactly what happened.

Yep. One the biggest revelations I had growing up is that all the talk of supporting the troops with the defense budget is bullshit. That money goes to the defense contractors and the make tens of billions off of it while veterans and current soldiers get next to nothing .

Q: How do you beat the world's largest military? A: You don't, you let them put idiots in charge of it and sit back and watch them beat themselves.

Welp. Ms. Gill, if you are actually a Russian agent and you surround yourself with those in service to Russia and then you start a war you never intended to win but rather to bankrupt our nation and waste our weapons, I would think it would be rather easy to lose the war

Trump will start a ground war in Iran immediately after the midterms for his next political campaign. The US will be bankrupted. No one wants to buy his Treasury Bonds because of our credit rating. Grab a tent and a can of beans because that's what we can look forward to.
-
It's pretty easy to lose a war no matter who you are, if there is no underlying coherent strategic framework whatsoever.
-
The reason no one had went to war with Iran before in modern times is because they knew it was folly. They have built cities underground in mountains we can't touch. The only reason why we are not putting boots on the ground presently is because of mid terms and voter optics Only way to win tho
